This policy explains what Cricket AI collects, why, and the control you have over it. We keep data collection to what we need to run the product, we never sell your data, and we never fabricate results.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your email address, name, and authentication metadata so we can create and secure your account.

Content you submit

The website URLs you ask us to analyze, the public pages we crawl from those URLs, any reference images or text you upload to the image studio, and the briefs, drafts, and reports generated for you.

Connected-service data

If you connect Google (Search Console / Analytics) or GitHub, we store the access or refresh tokens needed to provide those features, and we read only the data you authorize. We request the narrowest scopes that make each feature work.

Usage & technical data

Standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and the actions you take in the app, used for security, debugging, and improving the product.

2. How we use your information

To run the analysis and generate your audits, strategy, drafts, and fixes.
To maintain your history so your work survives a reload.
To operate the connected integrations you enable.
To secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
To process payments for paid plans, and to communicate with you about the service.

3. AI processing

To produce your outputs, we send the relevant site content and your inputs to our AI model provider for processing. We do not use your private content to train public models, and we do not sell your data. Generated drafts are suggestions for you to review — community and social content is never posted automatically.

We share data only with the service providers that help us operate, including:

Clerk — authentication and account management.
Our AI model provider — generating audits, strategy, and drafts.
Vercel — application hosting.
Neon — database storage for your history and connection tokens.
Stripe — payment processing for paid plans (we never store your full card number).
Resend — sending digest and product emails (when enabled).
Google / GitHub — only the data you explicitly connect and authorize.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

5. Google user data

With your explicit consent, Cricket AI requests read-only access to your Google Search Console properties (clicks, impressions, CTR, position, top queries) and Google Analytics 4 reports (sessions, users, page views, conversions, channels) for sites you own. This data is used solely to show you marketing insights inside your own dashboard.

Google API Limited Use disclosure. Cricket AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you requested, we do not use it for serving advertisements, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law. Google user data may be processed by our AI service provider solely to generate the marketing insights you requested inside your own dashboard; it is never used to develop, improve, or train AI/ML models — neither ours nor any third party's.

6. Connected accounts

You can disconnect Google or GitHub at any time from within the app, which revokes and deletes the stored tokens on our side. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions or GitHub application settings.

7. Retention & deletion

We keep your account data and history while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, and we will delete it within a reasonable period except where we must retain limited records for legal or security reasons.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Server-side requests to URLs you provide pass through safeguards designed to prevent server-side request forgery. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and as a young product we are continually improving our controls — please keep your account credentials safe.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.

11. Children

Cricket AI is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
